Sin Symphony Restaurant 新福霖私房菜

This year Chinese New Year, Our's Big Brother arrange a lunar dinner at Sin Symphony Restaurant 新福霖私房菜 located in Puchong. He order a special menu from this restaurant called " 一帆风顺,Smooth sailing" .

This is the special menu " 一帆风顺,Smooth sailing" . All the dish presented in one giant plate and have to carry by few person to the table. See it look great and giant.

All of us also busy on taking photo for this giant dish. But i'm the one taking them as my memory, cause it look funny.

This special dish " 一帆风顺,Smooth sailing" included Standing Roasted Chicken, Mini Steamed Assorted Meats in Chinese Casserole, Scallops & Abalone, Braised pig's trotters, Steam Banded Group fish , Vegetable, Chinese Sauage Rice and fruits.

Bai Tian Gong 拜天公

Bai Tian Gong is the history for the Hokkien and it fix on the 9th of the first month Lunar Calendar. When i was young i heard the story about why they have to Bai Thian Gong. It mentioned that the Hokkiens want to escaped the robber attacked , they hid themselves among the sugarcane fields and they also prayed to Heaven God (Tian Gong)  for salvation during their hideout. After few days the robber can't find them, then give up and go away. The Hokkiens emerged from the sugar cane fields, and praising the blessings of the celestial deities and owing gratitude to the sugarcane plants for saving them from destruction. Thus, in all Hokkien celebrations, the sugarcane plant is given prominence.Realizing that it was also the 9th Day of the Chinese New Year and coincidentally the birthday of Heaven God, they decided to make votive offerings and prayers to the Jade Emperor for their salvation.

But nowadays is not only Hokkiens people prayed for it. Others also prayed it, they also wish they can happiness and all the things come smooth with them. The previous year, my family also pray for it but this year not. This year i been invite to my colleague house join them prayed together. 

Their family members prepare a lot of things.When you step in her house you can notice the Tian Gong house was so big and the whole table of food. The pineapple pray paper was almost same height with me. 

After pray burning the pray paper also need time to arrange. All the people start busy on the arrangement. They also put 8 firecracker around the prayed paper. During the burning time , you can heard many time firecrackers.

Guan Di Temple 关帝庙

Last Saturday i went to the Guan Di Temple which located at Petaling Street ( China Town ) for pray.
This temple already have more than 100 years history and it so beautiful. It also my first time been there. 

I believe they have well maintain on the building, it look like clean and new. Before step into the temple, you have see some vagrant person standing outside of the temple. I heard my best friend said, during Chinese New Year there have a lot rich person come and pray and after will give some angpow for the vagrant person. Maybe it cause some of them waiting there. 

At the entrance you can see the 59KG Chopper Guan Dao located there. This Guan Dao really heavy and hard to move it up. But you also can see some people very easy to carry it. My best friend said, it maybe the wish they wishes will be come true. 

After pray i also go and try hit the bell. Hope the whole year will be good.

Western Meal Day

Today consider the western meal day. Start from the breakfast until the dinner, i also prepared the western style meal. 

American Breakfast was a easy breakfast to prepared. The breakfast included the ham, sausage, omelet and salad.

For the lunch i prepared the teriyaki chicken salad. I marinate the chicken in the morning and cooked during lunch time. It so simple and easy. If you don't like to have a heavy lunch, salad always is the best choice for you .

Teriyaki Salmon with asparagus is a prefect matching dish. Marinate the salmon in advance and prepared to cook. 1st, we cook the asparagus. I boiled the water and let the asparagus cook a minute, then i fried it with the garlic , salt and pepper. Then put aside to prepared grill the salmon. While the salmon ready , then can be served.
