Today going to made Egg Benedict, I learn it from YouTube. Sound
like simple but is really need patient when making it. The most main point on
this egg Benedict is the hollandaise sauce. It not too difficult but needs your
patient to make it. The prefect matching with egg Benedict is using the English
muffin and the poached egg. For English muffin i can't find it in my area, so i use another bread to replace it.
You have to prepare 2 part of ingredient.
Hollandaise sauce ingredient :
- 1/3 cup Melt Butter
- 2 Egg Yolks
- 1 ½ tsp lemon sauce
- Pinch of pepper
- Salt to taste
Others ingredient :
- Bread
- 2 eggs
- 1 pcs Ham
Instruction - Hollandaise sauce
- Take a pot add 1 inch of water
- Take another glass bowl whisk the egg yolks and the lemon juice
in the bowl for a few minutes
or until double size of it.
- Place the egg yolk mixture on top
of pot and continues whisk constantly and quickly,
slowly add in the while whisking until the sauce thickens.
- Remove
the sauce from the heat and stir in a pinch of salt and pepper and put aside
(You also can reserve a little bit hot water to thin out the sauce)
Instruction for set up
- Ready the poach egg ( You can refer to this link poached-eggto get it )
- Take a bread and cooked ham. Put the poach egg on top of it.
- After finish the whole thing off with some of the hollandaise sauce.
This was my first time making this egg Benedict. Although is not fully success, but the taste still ok
