Seafood Meal

Last two week i bought some frozen seafood thru FB live, it also my first time. At FB there have few popularity live selling seafood and i bought from 虾王Umance. 

I paid RM 288 to get 2 boston lobster (each about 400g to 500g), 9 pcs U10 Prawn, 1 bag Canada scallops(6 big pcs) , 1bag shell scallops (5pcs) , 1 bag baby octopus , 1 smoke duck, 1 pcs Norway salmon, 1 bag cooked tiger prawn and 1 bag softshell clam. 

Some friend ask me worth or not??? I also no idea, but if you bough from some frozen shop or supermarket i think will expensive a bit. 

Anyway i just tried, if nice then next time can buy again or before CNY can stock in some from them.


Today the seafood meal is not i'm the one cooking, is my second brother cook for us. He is a chef, some he teach me many things. For this seafood meal, he teach me how to clean the seafood, cut the seafood , ingredient what have to prepared and how to cook also .


Clam with stock soup.  Have to prepare, slice ginger, Shaoxing Flower Carving Wine, Chili , Spring Onion and pepper . Due to the clam already cooked and frozen ,just cooked the soup with ingredient and the last only add in clam and heat to be serve. 


Garlic Butter Boston Lobster. Have to prepare butter, fine chop ginger and garlic ,spring onion and stock soup . First cook the stock soup with all ingredient then add in lobster  then slowly add in butter and taste it. If the taste enough then can be serve. 



Steam Garlic Shell Scallops and U10 Prawn with glass noodle. Have to prepare glass noodle, fine chop garlic ( fried and without fried), cooked oil, oyster sauce and soy sauce. First boil some water and add in oyster sauce and some spices , then cook the glass noodle and put aside. After arrange the Shell scallops and U10 Prawn, then add in the garlic topping and steam about 5min to 8 min. Take out and add in glass noodle and the sauce , then can be serve. 


Sweet and sour pork.  Have to prepare tomato sauce, white vinegar , corn flour, egg, capsicum and pepper, soy sauce and salt. Marinate the pork about 2 hr above, then use egg mixture and corn flour fried it and put aside. Heat another pan start to cook the capsicum and  sauce. Last add in fried pork and mix it well.


Fried Onion sausage egg . Have to prepare egg, slice onion and sausage. Cook the onion first, then add it into egg mixture and mix it. Heat another pan cook the onion egg mixture. Make it like pancake style then can be serve. 

Even though we all use frozen seafood, overall the taste was good. Can repeat to order this seafood. Next time i will try cook by myself.

PannTea PV128

Recently Bubble tea is a trend in Malaysia. Many area already have a lot of different bubble shop open. Here Setapak also slowly one by one open. 

After the dinner, we carry on our chi chat at nearby which already soft open on last month . We order 4 types of their Pann's Favorite ,which is brown sugar bubble tea, a full cup of grapefruit , Japanese Oolong tea with Sakura Jelly and Yogurt Mango cloud & mist tea. After we ordered, the staff also inform us, tomorrow is their grand opening. Ask us to visit and grab the offer. 
Environment here quite simple and nice with the cooling air-condo. Really is a good gathering talk. A lot of couple, family and small group hang around. 

 



 
This soft toy is not from PannTea, just i play the claw machine grab it one. So it become one of the photo companion.




** Before going home,i grab one more at the same machine, it really lucky ** hahahaha

Bonjuk & Lunchbox Cafe PV128 ( Korean Food)

Supposedly yesterday need to celebrate birthday of AVA, but due to she has last minutes meeting with boss, so end up few of us gather at Setapak area have dinner only. 

We choose a Korean restaurant which open on last month, Bonjuk & Lunch Box Cafe. It located at PV128 which next to Mercedes-Benz showroom. 
The environment here quite comfortable and simple decoration. The staff here also very friendly.  If you wish to have small gathering and comfort atmosphere , can dining here.  



Basically here serve traditional porridge and their porridge have many of choice also. You can choose with meat, with seafood or vegetable only. It really healthy.

Besides the porridge , they also serve bibimbab, Lunchbox, strew and others. When you look at the menu, really hard to choose. We order Tuna kimchi soup with rice, Stone Bibimbap vegetable, Stone Bibimbap Chicken , Chicken Bulgogi lunchbox set, Prawn Porridge, Tuna maki roll and Tteok-bokki.( Really each page also order 1 dish,so can one time tried different type of taste)

Overall the foods are nice, only  Fried Tteok-bokki is not enough cook, the Tteok still a bit hard. Besides that, If  # tag their shop share at Instagram or Facebook , you also can get 10 % discount or use fave to get 10 % . ( The # tag have T&C, if your table more than 1 person, everyone must # tag and share, otherwise cannot get the 10% off..huhuhu)

Pasta Imbakbaka - Libyan Chicken Pasta

Imbakbaka is a most quintessential Libyan meal. It so simple to cook and so delicious. Let's see what we have to prepared.

Ingredient :
- 1 Brown Onion (diced)
- 3 gloves Garlic (Fine chop)
- 2 pcs Chicken drumstick
- Parsley (chop it)
- 1 1/2 tsp Paprika
- 1 1/2 tsp Turmeric
- 1 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp pepper powder
- Small can Tomatoes Paste
- Water
- Penne Pasta


Instruction
- Heat up the wok with oil, then add in the brown onion.
- Add in chicken drumstick and keep stir then following by garlic and keep stir
- Add in Paprika , Turmeric, Salt and pepper powder and mix it well. 
- After add in 2/3 can Tomatoes Paste and stir it will.
- Pour water to cover the chicken and let it boil about 30min.
- Taste it, if the taste not enough, add in 1/3 can tomatoes paste and continues cook
- Add in Parsley cook another 1 to 2 min, then can add in the Penne Pasta and cook until the pasta 
  soft enough. 
- Then the pasta Imbakbaka can be serve.
 

Taiwanese Minced Pork Rice(台湾卤肉饭)

Minced pork rice is a Chinese rice dish famous in Taiwan. It is a ground pork marinated and boiled in soy sauce, then served with hot steam rice. Some of the people also add in cooked egg boil together as well. It really so delicious and you may to have second boil of rice. Let's see what ingredient have to prepared.

Ingredient :
- 400g Pork Belly 
- 6tbs Soy Sauce 
- 2pcs Red Onion
- 5glove Garlic
- 1pcs Star Anise
- 2 tbsb small rock sugar
- 2pcs Egg
- 3tsp pepper
- 1tbsp black soy sauce
- Water
- Pak Choi

Instruction :
- Boil the egg and put aside .
- Cut the pork belly into small pieces, minced the garlic and slice the red onion.
- Heat the wok add in pork belly and cook until the pork belly oil come out. 
- Add in the slice red onion cook together until onion turn color. 
- Then add in minced garlic and keep stir. 
- Add in small rock sugar stir together. The rock sugar will let the pork belly turn in brown colour.
- Slowly add in soy sauce from the edge of wok, then add in the star anise and pepper and black soy 
   sauce and keep stir. 
- Add in the water and let in boil and turn in to small fire simmer about 30min.
- Take out eggshell and add the eggs into the wok and cook another 30min .
- Use another wok boil some water and add in oil to cook the pak choi then put aside.
- After 30min,will notice the sauce of minced pork getting thicker.Then can be served.

Turkish Chicken Kebab

Kebabs are various cooked meat dishes, with their origins in Middle Eastern cuisine.It also popular around Asia. There have many recipe for the kebab. We can use ground meat or cube size like seafood, mutton, chicken or beef. Some people also like add some vegetable together. We can cooked on fire, on oven or on grill also okay.

Let's see what have to prepared.

Ingredient : 
- 1 big onion 
- 4 glove of garlic
- 100g ginger
- Fresh coriander
- 400g ground chicken meat
- 2tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 3 tsp cumin



Instruction : 
- Add garlic, onion , coriander and ginger in cube.Then add all into the grinder and minced.
- Add the minced ingredient and spices into the ground meat and mix well
- Let it marinated about 1 hour.
- Paste the meat on to skewer stick or kebab skewers 
- Heat the grilled pan then start cook.



After cooked, you also can grill some vegetable which you like and match together with the wrap or pitta. Besides that, i also mix some sauce . I use mayonnaise, garlic powder and lemon juice to mix the sauce. It really tasty.

Dining at 33 House

Last weekend we have small gathering at 33 house( 😆😆😆 ) with the western meal. It was very nice and great. Although the taste not good as restaurant but we enjoy the comfort and cozy atmosphere. 

After work i bought all the ingredient and marinated it. I marinated 4 different type of chicken chop. There have teriyaki, rosemary, Thyme and original (pepper & salt). Besides that, I also precook the mushroom soup and baby pork rib before i reach there. For the shrimp and dessert will prepare by darling and Jo. Total cost for all exclude wine is about RM 110.

Kwai Chai Hong and Ho Kow Hainam Kopitiam

This weekend , we went to Petaling Street have brunch and visit a latest tourist hotspot, Kwai Chai Hong.

At the first, we come to the Ho Kow Hainam Kopitiam to drop a name for queue.You can't imagine there 30 number in queue in front of us. We walk to Lorong Panggung, which behind Ho Kow Hainam Kopitiam to find  Kwai Chai Hong(鬼仔巷).

Kwai Chai Hong(鬼仔巷) located at Petaling Street,lorong panggung. The entrance which with the arch and bridge stands was previously occupied by Ho Kow Hainan Kopitiam and a coffee shop established in 1956. Lately moved out in year 2018 relocated to a nearby street.
                
There don't have any determinate how the moniker Kwai Chai Hong(鬼仔巷) come from. Some people said it's maybe previously this area have  "kwai chai" (ghost children ) haunt or it just a  mischievous . It also maybe this area last time have a lot different type of illegal businesses ,like  gamblers, drug addicts, drunkards and those engaging in vice activities led to its moniker.
Inside the laneway are six murals depicting the daily activities of early Chinese settlers in the area during the 1960s. It also a attract a lot of tourist take photo.

After hang around here 20min , we back to check the queue list in Ho Kow . We still have to wait about 15 number. In this hot weather , i went to another spot to take ice cream. Hope will reduce my body hot temperature. 
I bought ice cream from Urban Artisan Cafe,which another corner shop nerby Ho Kow Hainam Kopitiam only. The staff recommend me Roaster hazelnut Chocolate X Oceanic Sea Salt double flavor ice cream.
               

Finally we get to sit in Ho Kow Hainam Kopitiam, inside really super pack. There not much space to let you squeeze in. We been arrange sit at the last corner which nearby the kitchen.


This is not the news paper or any leaflet , is it a menu of this Kopitiam. The front page was history of the shop and Hainam meal history.





 
We order some toast, coffee, nasi lemak, meehon curry chicken and dim sum also. Overall the taste was good,especially the meehon curry chicken and the peanut butter kaya bun. This 2 most recommended by me.
