8Haus at Jalan Sin Chew Kee

After a week holidays, the mood still there. I still miss my holidays.

Last weekend really bored and no place to go. I went to Bukit Bintang area shopping alone and been to Jalan Sin Chew Kee to have my lunch also. 

There have few cafe at Jalan Sin Chew Kee. Last time i already tried the VCR cafe wit my friend. This day i try the 8Haus (八号).

8Haus located at Jalan Sin Chew Kee, which a row behind VCR only. Is a Western-oriental fusion food restaurant and the interior very simple and comfortable. They Staff also very nice.

Before i come here, i found that their signature dish is grilled pork ribs. Although they have served single portion, but i also feel like sharing with be better. End up i order another type of food. 

I order another signature, there is XO Haus Linguine Pasta. They use the Chinese XO sauce to cook with the linguine and match with the slices pork belly. It really fusion and the taste ok. (For me less XO sauce will be more nice) 

Besides that, i also order a cup of Native Haus Coffee. They use the melted gula melaka skimmed with evaporated milk and milk add into the coffee. A bit sweet, but overall the taste ok.

6 Days 5 Nights Hokkaido Trip (Day 6) - Sayōnara Hokkaido

Today we have to said good bye to Hokkaido. Early morning 530,we already wake up and get ready to airport. Around 615 the taxi driver already arrive hotel pick up us. Lucky we ask the reception booking for us in advance , it not early morning really hard to get taxi from road side . 

From hotel to airport the fare about 1700¥ with 12min drive. It also lucky we request the MPV taxi, if normal one sure cannot fit all of us and the luggage. 

Express line for the flat bed. If the flat bed available and you wish to change before boarding, have to add around RM1000++ for upgrade. (my friend bid less than that price).

          

This was my friend send me the picture during they take the flat bed.It look comfortable. Also provide pillow and blanket also.

     

The seat space was width and they also provide a tablet for the entertainment.  

     

Both of them really enjoy the sleep. My friend told me,her hubby sleep all the way back. It really worth for him.

6 Days 5 Nights really fast to passing.Really wish to stay few more days. Although the trip so rushing, but can consider we cover center for Hokkaido. Next time can plan to visit Hakodate and Furano area.

After back to Malaysia, some of my friend ask me, total how much i already spend at there?Roughly about RM 3777 exclude shopping.

6 Days 5 Nights Hokkaido Trip (Day 5) - Free and Easy Sapporo & Chitose

Fifth day in Sapporo. Due to next day we take early flight back to Malaysia,today we will check out from home stay and move to the hotel which near by the airport. In Hokkaido most the home stay check out time also in 10am, it really too early for us. But we also utilize our time. Before 3 hour check out , we have a light breakfast then take taxi to the famous shrine in Hokkaido, Hokkaido Shrine (北海道神宫Hokkaido Jingu). Hokkaido Shrine is a Shinto Shrine and it located in Sapporo and next to Marumaya Park . Is a peaceful and quiet place. It also a beautiful shrine in Sapporo. I heard my friend said that, if you make a wish here, it may come true. We are lucky , the time we at there don't have tourist yet. So we can take a lot wide photo at here.It maybe also we reach here in early morning. At here we also draw divination a Omikuji. The Omikuji not only in Japanese language , there also have English and Chinese word to let you choose . After take the Omikuji and read thru it, you can hang the paper at the board. It can let you wish come true.  Next to the Shrine is a Maruyama Park, we hope can see some Sakura a the park. End up we saw another 2 type of flower, which is Manglietia fordiana (木蓮花Mokuren) and Plum blossom(梅花). Both of them also beautiful.   This Shrine really is a lucky shrine, before we back to Home stay, i get a email from Airasia. The flat bed seat which my best friend bid already been approve. She and her husband can enjoy the flat bed when the flight back to Malaysia. ( Although is not free,but is the minimum bid amount). After here, we back to home stay and get ready check out. Our home stay host really good,they will send their member to fetch us to nearby train station. We really have too much bag to carry, end up we request to send to Sapporo station, they also willing to do that.  After fetch us there, the host member also give a cookies as present. It really warm. Next time come over here again, will choose back this host.  From Sapporo Station we took a JR Rapid Airport to Chitose station, it cost 880 ¥ one way. Arrive the station,although only 10min walk to Hotel, we also take taxi to there. Because today weather really cold and we take too much of luggage. At chitose area, the taxi more cheaper than Sapporo. Every time we get in Taxi, the 1st charge will be 670¥, at here only charge 470¥. From the station to hotel only less than 3 min car distant, so drop off time we only paid 470¥, (is really worth than we walk there) . Best Western Plus Hotel Fino Chitose service really good and the room big and clean. We book an executive smoking room with 4 bed. It really nice. After check in and put all the luggage , we walk to nearby restaurant to have lunch. The reception told us that, most the restaurant nearby open for dinner. But she also give us a map and show us and recommend us to Aeon which nearby the hotel.  We found a noodle house which show at the map and walking distant about 10min.This shop look like most are local people come over. But is lucky that, they have Chinese Menu easy for us to order.    We order tempura noodles, curry pork chop soup noodle, tofu noodles and pork chop rice.The price consider reasonable and the taste were good.  After here we back hotel take a short break then 3 ladies back to Sapporo shopping. Remember Women never said no to "shopping". Of course before we start shopping , we also visit our last attraction place. If not people will said us wasted time to Sapporo only for shopping.  Sapporo Beer Museum  opened in 1987 in a former brewery from the Meiji Period. When you step in information office, you can choose paid tour or free and easy tour. Paid tour will have somebody guide you and intro the museum and will get a free beer.  This museum introduces the history of beer in Japan and the process of beer making.We walk thru the history board , if you are free and easy tour,don't worry next to the board have few language introduction book there for refer.  After this you may walk to the exhibitions hall from there you can buy coupon to taste different beer there. Due to later we still need shopping, will not taste the beer. After visit the museum ,we also walk around this area. The museum is red-brick building, you can took a lot photo here. We took a premium taxi with normal fare to Susukino area start ours shopping day .   After know my best friend get to upgrade flat bed, we bought a lot extra things back We shop there until evening time and back to hotel pick up her hubby and go dinner together. We take a taxi to New Chitose Airport Domestic flight there to take our dinner. Supposedly we wish to try the famous pork rice at airport. Due to the time we reach there already late and it going to close.  End up we back to the first day we visit Ramen Street area to grab our dinner . This ramen also one of the famous and must try ramen in sapporo.The taste like Malaysia prawn noodles. If you don't like the prawn taste, you also can choose rich soup. (It mix prawn soup and pork bone soup together) .

6 Days 5 Nights Hokkaido Trip (Day 4) - Lake Shikotsu & Lake Toya 支笏湖+洞爷湖

Fourth day in Sapporo. Today we also follow another tour to outskirt from Sapporo. It will cover 2 Lake, which is Lake Shikotsu and Lake Toya. This tour we book from Japanican page, cost 7100¥ (RM274). We have to depart from Sapporo Bus Terminal 8:35am .

First stop we reach is Lake Shikotsu, it take about 90min from Sapporo. All the way same like yesterday, we will thru the earphone listen the tour explanation. Besides that, you also can enjoy the view outside of the bus during the journey. You will take a lot of natural scenery photo. 

Lake Shikotsu is a caldera lake formed approximately 40,000 years ago when water collected in Shikotsu caldera. It consider a Japan's largest lake, but the water volume is the 2nd largest in Japan due to its depth. It is also famous for its high level of clarity.

We have about 60min free and easy time at Lake Shikotsu. You also can take the Lake Shikotsu sightseeing boat (glass-bottom boat) . It will take 30 min to round the lake, if you wish to take, please take it when you are arrive there,cost about 1200¥ (RM45). 

After here, we heading to our second stop Lake Toya. On the way ,the bus will stop at Mushroom Kingdom Otaki about 20min. This place is a small rest area and there selling some Hokkaido famous mushroom or snack . At this area we still can see the snow at the roadside mountain area.

I bought some dried fruit noodle pack from here and i also tried the Hokkaido milk. You must try the Hokkaido milk, it really nice.

Another 40 min, we arrived Toyako Manseikaku Hotel Lakeside Terrace, which located next to Lake Toya. We will about 90min to have lunch and free and easy walk around. 

The lunch already served on the table when we step in the restaurant. They served us the Kami-Nabe (Japanese Paper Hot Pot). The meal include the hot pot, steam egg, Fried Vegetable, cold dish and dessert .

After Lunch we walk to the Lake side which next to the hotel. The scenery here really nice. You will feel relax here next to the Lake. 

10 to 15 minute drive away from this hotel, tour also arrange visit Usuzan Ropeway and Showa Shinzan Bear Park. The Bear Park is own-self expenses and you can enjoy seeing many brown bears up close!

Mount Usuzan was formed from a series of eruptions occurring 10,000 to 20,000 years ago. It remains an active volcano to this day. Showa Shinzan and Lake Toya can be seen from the ropeway station summit area. Take a walk on the Outer Rim Boardwalk to the Crater Basin Observation Deck and learn how a volcano works while enjoying the gorgeous views below.

We didn't walk until the up level hill,i believe that hill level will have another nice scenery. We only walk around the observation deck area ,it already good enough for us.

After the last stop, we heading back to Sapporo. It will be take around 2 hr journey. You can take a rest or enjoy the mountain scenery. It different from morning time what we see. 

In Between, we also will have 2 rest stop at Silo Observatory and Nakayama Pass .

At Silo Observatory(塞露展望台),we also can enjoy another super view to see Lake Toya. Although the bus only stop 15min for us to go rest room, we also took many picture at here.

 At Nakayama Pass , surround the rest area also have a lot snow.Beside that, you also can get a nice Sunset photo.

Around dinner time,we arrived at Sapporo Bus Terminal. After this, we meet up my best friend at Totiton Marumaya Branch to have our dinner. 

I most recommended this sushi shop, all the ingredient are fresh and when you dining here, you can feel Vigorous.
