Birthday Celebration Part 3 - Eday Office

When walk into the office, somebody was informed :" See what the special today on the TV" 
It so special Nicholas presented the birthday card on the TV and follow by the birthday song from all the colleagues as well.
Of course we can't celebrate with the normal hour, they arrange during the lunch time. They pre-ordered the KFC special favor, salted egg spicy chicken. Really a good try on this. The taste really not bad ,but for those don't like to eat spicy one really not suitable. 
I was remember last year the restaurant prepared the nasi lemak cake for birthday person. This year use the Yee Shang as birthday cake. Really creative.

Really thanks for all the colleagues celebrated with me and it really warm. It also let me feel warmest again .

Birthday Celebration Part 2 - Ishin Japanese Dining

Last weekend I was celebrate my birthday with my best buddy’s at Ishin Japanese Dining.
Ishin Japanese Dining is a fine dining Japanese Restaurant which serves genuine Japanese and Kaiseki Style Cuisines. It located at Old Klang Road and it also get the Year 2016 & Year 2017 Traveler’s Choice in TripAdvisor.  
Ishin not only have the oval sushi counter and the normal seat, they also have the private room and tatami seating for the customer. Besides that, they also provide the free valet service for the customer. 
Softshell Crab Yee Shang
Sashimi Moriawase , there include 5 types of sashimi which is Salmon, Tuna, Kampachi, ButterFish and Scallops. Each type they also serve 3 pieces. The sashimi was so fresh and the price is worst it.
Seafood Salad, this salad is not only have the raw vegetable, it also included cooked prawn, tuna, butter fish, tako, and salmon sashimi together. Match with their house dressing is a very good started.


Egg Fried Rice, which the fried rice wrap by the egg . When they serve, the whole room full of the Fried Egg smell and the taste was good.

Ishinyaki Unagi Don is one of the famous dish in Ishin Restaurant. You can taste 3 unique flavors in one pot.There have 3 way to taste this Unagi Don.
First is Eat the Original Taste :
- Divide the rice into 3 portions, put the first portion into your bowl and enjoy as it is.
Second is eat with green :
- For the second portion, add chopped green onions, grated wasabi, and nori seaweed to enjoy another kind of taste.
Third is Eat With Soup : 
- Lastly, have the third portion in the same manner as the second portion plus broth poured over it and turned it into o-chazuke soup with rice.

Birthday Celebration Part 1 - Korean Bbq House PV128 Setapak

Another 5 day more will be my birthday. Normally my friends will celebrate with me in advance. Recently Korean BBQ buffet is very hit, so we also follow the hit. In Setapak area also open a Korean BBQ buffet restaurant, name called Korean BBQ House. It located at 1st floor of PV128 (which next to Columbia Hospital).
The all-you-can-eat buffet they have served 2 type of package, normal and full pack.
Normal pack it cost RM 25 nett for adult and RM 15 nett for child. They included the dish as following:
1. BBQ Pork Belly

Clean Lunch - Honey Lime Chicken Avocado Salad

3rd day clean lunch - Honey Lime Chicken Avocado Salad.
Let's see what have to prepare.

Ingredients
- Mix Vegetable
- Carrot
- Cherry Tomato
- Capsicums
- Celery
- Chicken Breast
- Salt & Pepper
- ½ Avocado

Chicken Marinate
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
2 cloves garlic (minced)
4 tbsp lime juice
1 tbsp honey
½ tsp chili powder
  
Salad Dressing
- 4 tbsp Lime Juice
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- Pinch of Salt & Pepper
- 1 tbsp Honey

Instruction:
- Marinate the chicken and put the fridge an hour or overnight. 
- Wash and cut all the salad vegetable, carrot, cherry tomato, celery & capsicums.
- Heat the pan with olive oil and grill the chicken breast.
- Slice the cooked chicken and arrange on top of salad mixture.
- Cut the avocado in dice and on it as well.
- Serve with the dressing mixture.

Spiral Curry Puffs

Curry Puffs is one of the famous snacks in Malaysia. You can found it in road side food stall or in the pastry house also. Curry puffs are the deep fried crescent shaped pastries and it filled with spicy, sweet and savory potato filling. It can be vegetarian food or meat food as well. A lot of people will add in the meat or egg together to make taste nicer and full.

In the market you can see there have two type of pastry. One is original and another is spiral. Most the people will like to eat spiral type, because is crispier.

Let’s see how to make the Spiral Curry Puffs ( Malay: Karipap Pusing Chinese: 螺旋咖喱角)  

Ingredients
Water Dough:
- 400g Flour
- 1 cup Water
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp Margarine

Oil Dough
- 200g Flour
- 150g Butter

Filling:
- 300g Chicken Breast Meat (Cut in small cube)
- 2 pcs medium size potatoes
- 1 pcs Onion (Chop dice)
- 3 tbsp Meat Curry Power
- 2 glove of garlic
- ½ cup water
- Salt

Instruction:
- Peel and cut the potatoes into small cubes. Then steam it until soft.
- Cut the chicken breast meat in small cube, dice the onion and minced the garlic.
- Heat the pan with some oil start fry the garlic and onion until soft, then add in the chicken.
- Add in the curry powder and fry until fragrant and slowly add in the water and potatoes as well.
Seasoning with salt and continues cook until thick. 
Set aside to cool while you make the pastry for the curry puffs.

Then can start to make the pastry. 

- We have to separately knead the two dough, which water dough and oil dough. After knead until smooth cover it with tea towel and rest for 10 to 15 mins.
- Press the water dough then wrap oil dough inside of water dough. 
Then flatter with rolling pin and roll rectangular shape. 
- After roll up from one end to the other like a Swiss roll.
- Turn the rolled dough upright. Flatten out the dough again into a long rectangular shape. 
- Roll up like a Swiss roll again. Repeat for the rest of the combined dough.
- Cut the dough into 1cm thick pastry. The circles can be clearly seen on each piece of the cut dough. 
Using a rolling pin, press it flat and shape into a round shape with circles.
- Put 1 tablespoon of curry meat filling in the center of the flattened.
- Fold and shape into a half-moon and pinch the edges together to seal in the filling.
- Pleat up the edges neatly and decoratively.

-Repeat the same for the rest of the cut rolled dough and we're done making the curry puffs. 
 Then prepare to deep fry the curry puffs.

Clean Lunch - Smoked Salmon Salad

This my second day clean lunch Smoked Salmon Salad. Let's see what have to prepared.
Salad basic 
- Mix Vegetable
- Carrot
- Cherry Tomato
- Capsicums
- 2 Slice Smoked Salmon
- Salt & Pepper

Salad Dressing
- 1 tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 tsp Olive Oil
- Pinch of Salt & Pepper
- 1 tsp White Vinegar

Instruction:
Wash and cut all the salad vegetable, carrot, cherry tomato & capsicums.
- After use hand tear the smoked salmon and arrange it on top of salad.
- Add in a pinch of salt and pepper then serve with the dressing mixture.

Egg Tart

Egg tart is a kind of custard tart. The outer of tart is pastry crust and filled with egg custard then bakes it. When talking about egg tart, everyone will think Hong Kong Egg Tart or Macau Portuguese Egg Tart.

Because this two place are so famous on this. Every tourist visit there must try it.
In Malaysia, we also can found it in the Dim Sum Restaurant, hawker store or in the bakery shop. It also a good choice for breakfast and tea break.

I get the recipe from the YouTube shared from Mama Cheung from Hong Kong. She call her egg tart is cookies base egg tart. Let’s see the ingredient

Egg tart Outer :
- 200g plain flour
75g icing sugar
140g butter
½ beaten eggs

Egg Custard filling :
- 3 beaten eggs
- Milk Mixture  - 50ml Milk
                          - 150ml Water
                          - 50g Sugar

Instruction :
- First we make the milk mixture, add in the sugar into the water and cooking until all sugar melted.
  Then add in the milk mix it well and put aside let it cool
- Second we start to make the pastry. Mix flour & icing sugar together then knead with the butter.
- Then add in the beaten eggs and continues knead until it be the dough.
- Prepared the wrapping plastic and place the pastry dough and flatten it and wrap it then freeze it 
   for 25 to 30 mins. 
- Then start makes the egg custard mixture. 
  Add the milk mixture and the beaten egg into a big bowl and mix it well.
- Take out the dough and start rolls it and divides it to small dough.
- Apply some butter in the tart mold then gently shape the small dough with a slight edge.
- After shape all the dough, pour in the custard mixture into it. 
- Put to the preheat oven bake about 25 mins with 180͒

Clean Lunch - Shrimp Salad

Recently I gain a lot of weight and somebody ask for control it, like do some work out or control the food. I was thinking how do can I control the food which I eat? It really hard for me, but I have to do start it and it not only to control the weight it also good for the health.

For me I don’t think I’ll use skip meal to control the weight, so I start control the food start from my lunch. I’ll start to make salad for all my lunch. Salad is a most easy meal to prepare.

Let’s start prepare the ingredient:
- Salad Vegetable
- Shrimp
Boiled Egg
Carrot
Cherry Tomato
Capsicums
Fresh lime Juice, Salt, Pepper & Chili powder

Salad Dressing
- 1 tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 tsp Olive Oil
- 1 tsp Honey
- Pinch of Salt & Pepper
- 1 tsp Balsamic Vinegar

Instruction:
- Marinate the Shrimp with Fresh lime Juice, Salt, Pepper & Chili powder.
Wash and cut all the salad vegetable, carrot, cherry tomato & capsicums.
Preheat the pan with olive oil and start fried the shrimp. After cooked put it aside for cooling.
Arrange all the salad vegetable and slice egg in to the bowl or container and also 
  add in the cooked shrimp.
Serve with the dressing mixture.

Bak Kwa Bun

Another 3 week more Chinese New Year will coming. A lot people already start buy the festival stuff and the decoration things. Last few day I online purchase the Bak Kwa (Chinese: 肉干), it only cost me less than RM 30 per 500g. This is one of the snack during the Chinese New Year must eat one. Some friend ask me try to make it, but it really too much things have to prepare, better bough from the shop more easy.
Bak Kwa not only snack, it also can become the Chinese Bak Kwa Sandwich. Today I use it to make the Bak Kwa Bun. It is one of my favor bun I’ll bough during night market for next day breakfast. 
It only need a basic dough and the Bak Kwa.

The Dough i use back the previous Red Bean Bun Dough , can refer red-bean-bun dough page
Another ingredient have to prepared like Bak Kwa, Egg and Sesame .

Instruction:
- After the dough ready divide to into 6 small dough
- Take 2 slice Bak Kwa and divide it .
- Use the roll pin roll rectangle shape and put the bak kaw on top and start roll it.
- Put aside and allow to rise up another 30 min.
- Egg wash the bun then finally add the sesame on top of the bun 
- Put into the preheat oven bake about 15 to 18 mins with 180 ͒

Peanut Butter Chicken Egg Sandwich

Sandwich is the best dish for all the meal of the day. It can serve by hot or cold, just depend what you wish to have. How it can be healthy and easy to combine all in one? 
Let start from the grain,like bread, pita,English Muffin, baguette,wrap or bagels. Then follow by what spread like peanut butter, cheese cream or mayonnaise.Vegetable also part of the ingredient and the most common is the lettuce, cucumber, onion & capsicum. If you need more protein add in the cheeses, egg, meat or tuna. Some people also like have fruit sandwich . 

Today i make the peanut butter chicken egg sandwich. It so delicious and full of nutrition and protein. 

Ingredient : 
- 3 slice wheat bread 
- Chicken Burger meat ( if you have time you can make you owns one) 
- 1 egg
- Salad vegetable
- Cherry Tomato
- 1 slice cheese
- Peanut butter
- Mayonnaise
- Salt & Pepper

Instruction :
- Heat the pant and grill the chicken burger meat
- Crack the egg and season with pepper and salt and stir well and cook it at another pan 
- Cut Salad vegetable and the cherry tomato and put aside
- Toast the white bread and put aside
- While the chicken burger meat ready then can start to mix it.
- Spread the peanut butter on the toast bread, add in egg and the cheese and chicken burger. 
  Then put another toast bread on top of chicken burger , add in vegetable mix & cherry tomato and 
   mayonnaise then cover the last toast bread. 
- Cut it in half then can be serve.
